A very elegant late 18th century antique sofa / daybed. Period furniture of this quality, when retaining its original paint finish in such good condition is rare. The piece was originally made as a single bed, but may be used as an antique sofa or daybed with your choice of base, mattress, fabric and scatter cushions. Circa 1790 (Directoire period), it is very well constructed and will lift any room it graces with its presence. The patina and ageing on the bed really is fabulous…should you need us to supply the base and mattress, this can be arranged with local manufacturers at cost.

A rare Louis XVI style antique sofa, circa 1880. The very fine water-gilded frame is in good condition and all the original stuffing and springs are in very good order. The later fabric is immaculate, making this a very sophisticated piece of French furniture that is both comfortable and of well balanced form.

A Louis XV style 3 1/2 seater antique sofa, circa 1920. The ornate frame retains the original off-white paint finish with nice quality gilded detailing. The overall structure is excellent and will look even more amazing when recovered. French provincial furniture at its best!
